How to Use?

Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF.
Choose Fill to cover the banner, or Fit to show the whole photo on a background color.
Drag the photo and move Zoom until the subject sits where you want it.
Keep titles and logos inside the dashed box labeled Text safe. The shaded bands above and below are often cropped on phones and computers.
Click Create, then download JPG or PNG. The file is exactly 2560 × 1440 pixels.

Notes:

2560 × 1440 is the size YouTube recommends for channel banners, especially for TV. The minimum upload size is 2048 × 1152.
Text safe means the dashed box. The banner file is 2560 × 1440, and TV can show all of it, but phones and computers usually show only the middle strip. YouTube’s text-and-logo safe area is 1235 × 338 pixels on the minimum size of 2048 × 1152. The dashed box is that same proportion, centered here. Titles and logos outside it can be cut off.
The guides are preview only. They are not drawn into the downloaded file. YouTube asks you not to add a border or frame around channel art.
YouTube accepts files up to 6 MB. The JPG download is reduced automatically if it would be larger. Use JPG for photos.
Work stays on your device. A small source image is enlarged to 2560 × 1440 and can look soft. GIF uses the first frame.
