What are black and white images and grayscale images?
Black and white images, also known as binary images, contain only two colors: pure black and pure white. Grayscale images are often mistaken for black and white images. However, they are different—grayscale images use various shades of gray with no other colors. Without special editing or adjustments, the entire image appears in a balanced medium gray tone. The images we usually print in grayscale mode are typically grayscale images.
